Punjab agri university signs MoU with TAFE
Ludhiana, Nov 5 (UNI) The Punjab Agricultural University has signed an MoU with Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) Ltd, Chennai to collaborate on academic and research cooperation.
The MoU was inked by Prof V K Sehgal, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Mr G Hari, Chief Operating Officer, in the presence of PAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr Manjit Singh Kang.
This cooperation was a part of promoting industry-institute interface between the faculty scholars and professionals on specific academic research requirements in various spheres relevant to farm power. According to Prof Sehgal, guest lectures and visits would be organised on mutually beneficial topics.
TAFE plans to establish collaborative facilities for training the students and technicians for improving training competence. The company engineers and executives would share the research know-how with the research professionals in the department of Farm Power and Machinery.
The collaborative programme envisages training of students at TAFE. The MoU also proposes to undertake joint programmes for graduate and post graduate students or by the faculty under the sponsorship of TAFE on mutually beneficial programmes.
The MoU would be valid for three years at the first instance and can be extended with mutual consent.
