Police directs BPO company to provide data-base on employees
Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Director General Police Dr P S Pasricha today directed BPOs across the state to furnish data-base on the logistics staff and drivers transporting their staff.
Addressing a peress conference here, Dr Pasricha said after the recent incident of rape and murder of a BPO staffer in Pune they had sought data based information of all the staff from the BPO companies across the state.
The police has also instructed the company officials to take details of contract workers like drivers before appointing them.
He said as per police information, the two persons, who had raped and killed a 22-years-old BPO girl, were ''bad'' characters.
Dr Pasricha said police was ready to provide all type of cooperation to these companies.
He said ''Urban terrorism is a global problem and not restricted to Mumbai or India. However, we have kept police alert to maintain law and order in the state''.
