Mysore, Nov 5 (UNI) Joint Secretary, Department of Union Urban Development, M S Acharya today held a meeting with the city administration and reviewed the implementation of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) here.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Acharya said there was shortage of funds for the overall development of the city. The JNNURM projects should be completed within the stipulated time, he added.
Mr Achyara had a lengthy discussion about the recent developments on the projects in the city. City Corporation and Mysore Urban Development Commissioner P Manivannan and other officials explained to him in a meeting with the power-point presentation. The projects would cost Rs 239 crore.
The Mysore city had been selected for the projects among the 63 cities in the country at an estimated cost of Rs 1800 crore for the next seven years.
