Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) The City police today successfully solved a kidnapping case within six hours by arresting four persons in the wee hours at Goregaon in western suburbs.
At around 2130 hours, four persons called up Hashmukh Mangilal Dhakad (22), a jewellery shop owner, under the pretext of selling a laptop and fixed a meeting at City Park near Goregaon Garden, police said here today.
When Mr Dhakad reached the spot, the four accused threatened him with a toy pistol and dragged him into a taxi. They also snatched his gold chain and some cash.
A patrolling police van spotted the four accused standing in a suspicious manner near a taxi and searched them. Police seized a toy pistol and a gold chain from them.
The accused have been identified as Sadik Ali Jahid Khan (22), Naeem Ali Ahmed Khan (21), Ibrahim Huqmullah Shah (21) and Dilsaad Kamal Ahmed Ansari (21).
