Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 5 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader K Karunakaran's return to the Congress would not create any controversy within the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy today said.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the KPCC had no role in taking back a senior leader like Mr Karunakaran into the party and it was for the High Command to take a decision in this regard. The High Command would take the decision at the appropriate time, he added.
Claiming that the Congress in Kerala had good unity and it would continue to strengthen the party in future also.
The credit for this should be given to every party worker and not to him or the KPCC President alone, he added.
Asked for his opinion about taking Mr Karunakaran back into the Congress, he said his views had already been informed to the High Command.
