Mysore, Nov 5 (UNI) Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy today said JD(S) Legislators would join the BJP legislators to be presented before President Pratibha Patil in New Delhi tomorrow.
Talking to newspersons at the helipad here, he said, ''It was not necessary for such a parade, as the BJP had invited them to join, but the media would write another version if we did not join. The JD(S) Legislators have already submitted individual affidavits affirming their support to B S Yeddyurappa to form the next government in the state.'' Mr Kumaraswamy reiterated that JD(S) support to BJP was unconditional and it was conveyed to Governor Rameshwar Thakur.
Referring to delay in extending invitation for formation of the next government, Mr Kumaraswamy said, ''As per Constitutional obligation, necessary documents were submitted and now the ball was in the Governor's court. The delay may be due to the procedure to consult Constitutional experts and verifying the proof produced by the legislators.'' Mr Kumaraswamy, who was on a private visit to the city, offered prayers at Chamundeswari temple and visited temple in Nanjangud.
