ITI centres to be made training centres for jobs: AP CM

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy today said all ITIs in the state would be made 'Nodal Centres' for job training and will be made Centres of Excellence for training the unemployed youth, both skilled and unskilled, in the State.

Reviewing the Rajiv Udyogasri (Employment Mission) Programme with ministers and officials here, Dr Reddy expressed happiness that about one lakh youth could be given employment in various sectors by providing them training by different departments like Rural Development, Youth Services, Urban Development and National Academy of Construction, among others.

Directing the officials to evaluate the job opportunities, the requirement of the employer and train the youth accordingly, he wanted the Labour and Employment department to coordinate the Employment Mission and its implementation by different departments.

Dr Reddy also wanted Jawahar Knowledge Centres (JKCs)to be made functional in all the Engineering, MBA, MCA, other professional and all degree colleges and to the students, an official release said.
