Gaurav Ghei placed 7th, Shiv Kapur 15th on Asian tour Order of Merit

Singapore, Nov 5 (UNI) Two Indians -- Gaurav Ghei and Shiv Kapur figure in the list of top 20 golfers on the Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit.

While Ghei is placed seventh, Shiv is at the 15th position on the Merit list which is headed by China's Liang Wen-Chong with an earning of 495,150 dollars.

American rookie Jin Park capped his best performance of the year by making a giant leap from 113th to the 12th place. His earning so far has been 215,245 dollars.

Ghei has earned a total of 256,549 dollars, while Kapur's earning stand at 193,571 dollars.

Asia's number one Liang Wen-Chong extended his lead at the top after his two closest challengers, Anton Haig of South Africa and Scott Hend of Australia, missed the weekend cut.

Veteran Boonchu Ruangkit of Thailand and 35-year old American Anthony Kang both joined the million dollar club as they broke through the million-dollar mark in their career earnings on the Asian Tour.

Following are the top five on the Asian tour's merit list: Liang Wen-Chong (495,150 dollars), Anton Haig (427,685 dollars), Scott Hend (346,026 dollars), Chapchai Nirat (340,333 dollars), Simon Yates (286,693 dollars).
