Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Andhra Pradesh Minister M Satyanarana Rao today urged the party High Command to come out with a clear stand on statehood for Telangana.
Talking to newspersons outside the Assembly, Mr Rao said constitutionof the second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC), after a lapse of three and a half years, would not be appropriate.
He said theconstitution of the second SRC should have been done earlier.
MrRao said the high command should come out with its stand on the issue, honouring the sentiments of the Telangana people and spell out whether it was in favour of separate Telangana or not.
The people of Telangana would not ''believe'' the party if the highcommand prolonged the issue, he added.
