Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) The 42nd National Convention of Computer Society of India (CSI-2007) will be held here from November 28.
The Four-day event would focus on the theme 'GenNext India - Harnessing the Power of IT' and would showcase the emerging technologies that would touch every aspect of life in the coming days. Eminent speakers would speak on parallel tracks, 'IT Now, GenNext Technologies and 'Vice of the GenNext' which was dedicated to the students, a CSI release said here today.
The event would be inaugurated by former President Abdul Kalam.
Interesting initiatives like 'Digital Life Showcase', where delegates and visitors would be able to see live, innovative applications in retail, banking, telecom, healthcare, manufacturing, education and e-governance would be held as part of the event.
The other was a special event on 'Women in IT', a panel discussion surrounding women in IT like why more women were not visible in top of the management hierarchies in IT companies.
