'Left Front will not tolerate the Nuclear Deal'

Purulia, Nov 04: All India Forward Bloc general secretary Debabrata Biswas and West Bengal CPI Secretary Manju Majumder have asserted that the Left Front will not tolerate the Nuclear Deal with the US and continue their protests against it.

Addressing their seperate party meetings at Purulia town and district respectively yesterday, the leaders said, ''We will never tolerate the Congress's going ahead with the nuclear deal. The Left Front will never support the deal at any cost.

''We hope the UPA government will act responsibly in this matter,'' they reiterated.

Both the leaders also justified the ration card holders' agitations against ration dealers in the state.

''The people have been tolerating the corrupt practices of the ration shop owners since a long time. The oppression has finally resulted in escalating violence,'' they said.

However, both Mr Biswas and Mr Majumder refused to comment on the Central Security Forces deployment in Nandigram.
