Emergency rule designed to delay elections-Bhutto
LONDON, Nov 3 (Reuters) Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto said she believed the imposition of emergency rule in Pakistan by President Pervez Musharraf was designed to delay elections for ''at least one to two years.'' Bhutto told Sky News today in an interview that delaying Pakistan parliamentary elections, due in January, would mean the United States would be distracted by its own presidential election in late 2008.
