Jaisalmer, Nov 4 (UNI) The Border Security Force(BSF) guarding the India-Pakistan international border has been put on high alert to avert any possible bid of infiltration by anti-Musharraf activists from Pakistan after imposition of emergency in the neighbouring nation.

Official sources in BSF said the security personnel along the entire stretch of Indo=Pak border, right from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat, had been put on high alert and been asked to sternly counter any bid of infiltration from across the border.

The sources said there were reports that the authorities in Pakistan had resorted to nationwide arrests of anti Musharraf activists and the latter were reportedly taking shelter in hideouts in the bordering areas.

He said that prevailing state of law and order in the neighbouring country had also affected the deployment strength of Pakistan Rangers at the border post along the Indo-Pak border as they had reportedly been shifted for deployment at various places for maintaining internal security and deteriorating law and order after imposition of emergency.
