Karnal, Nov 3 (UNI) Ms Santosh Yadav, who scaled the Mount Everest twice, said women could make their own identity even in the traditional set up if they had strong will power.
Ms Yadav stated this after giving awards to sportspersons on the concluding day of 39th Haryana Police Sports Games at Madhuban.
She said despite all odds in life she was never bothered by the fact that she was a woman but took every challenge head on and ovecame it.
On this occasion, Haryana police chief Ranjeev Dalal said Ms Yadav's feat of scaling the highest summit of the world was an exemplary act not only for Indians but all the people of the world.
He exhorted the sportspersons to take inspiration from her to do their best in life despite all odds.
