Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) The chairman of the national selection commitee Dilip Vengsarkar was today barred from writing columns in newspapers, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said here today.
BCCI, Secretary Niranjan Shah told reporters after the National Cricket Academy meeting that the board has asked Vengsarkar not to write columns in newspapers.
Significantly, there appears to be a conflict of interest in the issue as the agency which syndicates Vengsarkar's column also represents the commercial interests of some Indian cricketers, including one-day and Twenty20 captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
