No violence during Indo-Pak match: ULFA

By Staff

Guwahati, Nov 03:The banned United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) today said that there was no security threat from them to Monday's one-day match between India and Pakistan.

Responding to a public appeal of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA), ULFA Chairman Aurobindo Rajkhowa welcomed both teams saying that people of Assam should enjoy the match with full spirit.

''We respect all international sports and sportspersons. Both the teams have highly talented and record breaking players and we welcome them,'' he said in a statement.

''There is nothing to worry about. Once Assam becomes independent then also such sporting event will be encouraged,'' he said.
