Two held while trying to sell sham gold
Kannur, Nov 3(UNI) Police today arrested two people while trying to sell sham gold ornaments to a businessman at Thalassery here today.
The arrested Raju Hemchand (22) and Dharma (21), both hailing from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, approached the businessman and promised him to give one and half kg of gold ornaments at throwaway price of Rs two lakh.
However, the businessman, who smelled cheating in the deal, informed the police, who took the duo into custody.
Later, they were produced before the Thalassery Judicial First Class Magistrate.
