Resentment against 'contracting' computer teachers
Puducherry, Nov 3 (UNI) The Computer Science Graduates Association today objected to the reported move of the administration to appoint teachers for computer science in Higher Secondary Schools on contract basis.
Addressing a press conference here, Association joint secretary Govind Kamaraj demanded that they be appointed as regular employees.
Stating that there were 250 computer science graduates belonging to Puducherry he said they had already submitted representations to the Chief Minister and Education Minister in this regard.
Mr Kamaraj said with the government going ahead with introducing computer education from standard six, many of the qualified aspirants could be appointed as teachers.
