MP Cong President's resignation demanded
Shajapur, MP, Nov 3 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh State Minorities Commission's former Chairman Ibrahim Qureshi described the defeat of Congress candidate in Lanji Assembly by-election as embarrasing and demanded resignations of state Congress President Subhash Yadav and Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi.
Mr Qureshi, who is regarded as close aid to former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, alleged that the two leaders were not focussing on public problems and were busy in groupism.
The Former Chairman urged Congress President Sonia Gandhi to expel the two leaders if they did not tender their resignations.
This would remove disappointment among party workers and boost their morale, he added.
Mr Qureshi said party workers in the State were dejected. He attacked the ruling BJP Government for merely making announcements.
