''I will continue to play as I feel. A batsmen would never stop playing the cuts, drives and pulls. One can get out in any shot.

I have been playing these shots from the early days of my career.

''If the situation demands me to play innovative shots, I will,'' Misbah told reporters here, a day before leaving for Guwahati for the first ODI against India.

He also said that after the Twenty20 World Cup loss neither the team management nor his coutrymen criticised him for the shot.

''Nobody complained me after the Twenty20 final loss. Instead all praised me for bringing the game so close. At one stage Pakistan was down and out of the contest,'' he said.

''Just luck didn't favour us that day,'' he added.

The 33-year-old right-handed batsman is presently rated very highly in Pakistan for his finishing ability. He is also viewed as the ideal replacement for former skipper Inzamam-ul
