Chandigarh, Nov 3 (UNI) Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharamvir today said all basic amenities would be provided to those who would be allotted free plots of 100 sq yards.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister had announced a scheme to provide free of cost 100 sq yard plots in rural areas to the Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes who did not have houses to live in.
The poor families belonging to other castes not having shelter would also be given such plots, he said while interacting with the media persons at Sirsa.
Mr Dharamvir said that panchayati land was available with 70 per cent villages of Haryana and free plots would be given from this land. The plots would be given after acquiring land in villages which did not have any panchayati land.
He said besides the plots, they would also be provided with the amenities of power, water and road.
He said those people who would be given free plots would also be provided with free water connections under Indira Gandhi Drinking Water Scheme and with concrete roads and power connections. All these plots would be provided facilities at par with HUDA sectors.
