TNCC Chief shifted to Chennai for further treatment
Madurai, Nov 2 (UNI) After more than three days of intensive treatment at the Apollo Hospital here, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President M Krishnaswamy was shifted to Chennai, this afternoon.
The injured Congress leader was brought to the airport here at 1245 hrs in an ambulance with tight security to the Madurai Airport.
Accompanied by his son and Congress Legislator K Vishnu Prasad, daughter Sowmya Anbumani and a team of doctors, Mr Krishnaswamy flew to Chennai in a chartered Indian aircraft.
Earlier, talking to newspersons, Dr Prasad said the condition of Mr Krishnaswamy was stable and he was progressing well.
Mr Krishnaswamy would be taken to the Apollo Super Speciality Hospitals in Chennai for further treatment, he added.
Asked whether there was any lapse in the security provided to the TNCC President, Dr Prasad declined to comment.
