Patiala, Nov 2 (UNI) Brilliant centuries by Manan Vohra (118) and Mohit Handa (100 not out) were the hallmark of Punjab's innings as they amassed a huge total of 364 for four in 123.4 overs declared against Haryana on the penultimate day in the ongoing Inter-State cricket tournament (Under-15) for the Polly Umrigar Trophy here at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.
Starting at an overnight 98 for no loss, Manan Vohra and Ankit Parsharthi carried on the good work for Punjab when the latter was out after scoring a neatly compiled half century (52).
Vohra and Handa then sent the Haryana bowlers on a leather hunt, and scoring at a brisk note. The ordeal for Haryana was not over yet as Prateek too scored a quickfire 47 and Punjab declared at 364 for 4.
For Haryana, Roshan Saini bowled well to capture three wickets, conceding 110 runs. Prabhjot Singh took 1 for 53.
Haryana were in dire straits in the second innings, having lost two wickets for merely 39 runs in 13.4 overs. Devinder(18) and Dipender(yet to score) were at the crease at draw of stumps For Punjab, Arjun and Vinay Choudhary captured one wicket each.
Haryana are unlikely to recover from the precarious start and face defeat tomorrow unless a miracle happens.
