Dehradun, Nov 2 (UNI) The Essel group-backed Indian Cricket League (ICL) Chairman Kapil Dev here today said the multi-million dollar private league has no rivalry with anyone.
Kapil, who was here to attend the Founder's Day Celebration of Welham Boys School, said, '' The ICL has no rivalry to anyone. It is a fully professinally run organisation being launched with the aim to provide opportunity to those players who fail to make a mark in big leagues.'' He further added that the ICL would provide an appropriate platform to the budding cricketers and would also focus its attention to small cities like Dehradun.
''It is just a beginning. It would be extended to other places across the country,'' he exhorted.
The former India skipper maintained that preparation of the league was in full swing and the inaugural match of the Twenty20 championship would be take place at Chandigarh on November 30.
