EC orders revision of electoral rolls in 70 Delhi assy constituencie

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) Election Commission of India has ordered Special revision of intensive nature of electoral rolls in all the 70 Assembly Constituencies in Delhi with January 1, 2008 as the qualifying date.

The objective of this exercise is to prepare a truly representative, accurate and clean Electoral Roll for the citizens of Delhi.

As per the schedule announced by the Commission, this exercise has already commenced and will be completed on January 31 next year with the final publication of electoral roll.

The exercise will be carried out by the Booth Level Officer/enumerators by visiting from house-to house for verification of existing electoral roll and enumeration of fresh electors.

The work of Booth Level Officers/enumerators will be supervised by the supervisors, assistant electoral registration Officers, Electoral registration officers and district election officers.

As per the instructions of Election Commission of India, the Booth Level Officer or enumerator will visit every house any day between November 1 and November 25.
