Hyderabad, Nov 2 (UNI) A local court today ordered city police to file cases against Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) President Sharad Pawar and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President G Vinod for ''irregularities in selling tickets for India-Australia cricket match at Rajiv Gandhi cricket stadium here recently.
On a petition filed by former MP P Radhakrishna, the third Metropolitan Magistrate ordered the Uppal police to file cases against the BCCI President, who was also the union Agriculture Minister and HCA President G Vinod, who is the Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister.
The court ordered the police to file cases under sections 120(B), 420 and 406 of the IPC.
In his petition, Radhakrishna submitted that the HCA had not sold all the tickets. He also submitted there were irregularities in the distribution of complimentary passes.
