Jodhpur, Nov 2 (UNI) A complaint of alleged violation of the NDPS Act was today lodged before a local court here against Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh, three BJP sitting MPs, three ministers, Government Chief Whip and two BJP MLAs.

The complaint lodged by OP Bishnoi of Jodhpur through his counsel Malam Singh before the Special NDPS Court judge has alleged that these leaders had violated the NDPS Act 1985 by serving and/or tasting ''opium'' during a socio-religious ceremony organised by Mr Singh at his native village Jasol in Barmer district on Wednesday last.

Besides Mr Singh, Rajasthan Education Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari, Welfare Minister Madan Dilwar, former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's son-in-law and Industries Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi, Government Chief Whip Mahavir Prasad Jain, sitting MP and BJP national Vice President Kailash Meghwal, former BJP state Presidents and sitting MPs Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi and Raghubir Singh Kaushal and sitting MLAs Shankar Singh Rajpurohit and Jogeshwar Garg are also made respondants in the case.

These leaders have allegedly tasted ''opium'' offered by the host Mr Singh, the complainant stated.

The case is expected to be taken up for hearing tomorrow.

With this case, the ongoing dissident BJP leaders' ''mission'' had taken a twist as the above leaders do symbolise as dissident group by political pundits in the state and they have been spearheading a campaign against the state leadership to ''uphold the ruling party's greater cause'' for sometime.

While participating in Mr Singh's function in Jasol on Wednesday all these leaders had also held a closed door meeting at Mr Singh's residence which lasted for over half an hour.
