Two women teachers run over by train, four injured
Gurdaspur, Nov 1 (UNI) A car carrying six women teachers was run-over by a passenger train today on an unmanned crossing near Jawar village in Pathankot-Amritsar section, killing two on the spot and seriously wounding four others.
According to police, 59-year-old Hardeep Kaur and 26-year-old Puja were killed on the spot and four other teachers were seriously injured when the train rammed into the car, driven by one of the teachers.
The teachers, all of them employees of a private school in Jawar village, were returning home in their colleague's car, when the accident took place.
