Suspected Maoist ultras shoot CPI(M) leader

Purulia, Nov 1 (UNI) Suspected Maoist ultras today killed CPI(M) leader Bhagirath Karmakar when they attacked his house at Barabazar, about 50 km from here.

Police said unidentified assailants hurled bombs on the house and killed Karmakar on the spot.

The Purulia Superintendent of Police rushed to the spot with a big contingent and combing operations had been started in the area to track down the culprits, the police added.
