Jamnagar, Oct 31 (UNI) Police have registered a complaint against a local moneylender for charging exorbitant interest rate and forcibly attempting to acquire the shop of the borrower.

Nayan Chandulal Gondalia, in his complaint, alleged that Nilesh Udai Shankar Dikshit was forcibly preparing a sale deed for his shop and making him sign on the dotted lines.

Gondalia, in the complaint, said he had borrowed various amounts from May 2006 in small amounts from Dikshit which totalled Rs 62,500. However, Dikshit had compounded the interest and claimed Rs 5.54 lakh. When Gondalia refused to accept the usurious amount as his debt, Dikshit prepared a sale deed and forcibly made him sign on the dotted lines.

An FIR was registered against Dikshit by the Hanuman Gate police station.
