IGI Airport achieves ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate
New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate for Indira Gandhi International Airport.
DIAL received the certificate from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance in Britain. As per the operations, management, development agreement, DIAL was to achieve the certification by May 2008.
Instead, DIAL has achieved this milestone more than seven months ahead of schedule.
The GMR-led alliance is currently implementing a master plan for development of a new airport complex. Work on the integrated passenger terminal and runway started in February and the new terminal will be inaugurated in 2010 before the Commonwealth Games.
