Kochi, Nov 1 (UNI) The Kerala High Court expressed its satisfaction over the measures taken by the state government to protect the life and freedom of people during today's hartal called by the BJP.
The state government filed a statement regarding the measures taken during the hartal before the bench consisting of Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice K T Sankaran.
The court issued the direction on a public interest petition filed by Anti Hartal Campaign Committee.
The counsel for the state produced the copy of the fax message of the Director General of Police issued to all the district police headquarters in the state, regarding the measures to be taken during hartal.
The court recorded the statement of the counsel that the government had taken all measures to protect the life and freedom of the people during the hartal.
