Gowda extended unconditional support: Yeddyurappa

Udupi, Nov 1 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yaddyurappa today said JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda had not put any conditions during the talks.

Talking to newspersons here, he said during his personal meeting with Mr Gowda, he (Mr Gowda) had not listed out any condition. On the other hand, he had he announced his 'unconditional support' for the formation of a new government.

Mr Yeddyurappa said he was fully confident of the formation of a government and the continuance of the terms and conditions during the previous JD(S)-BJP government. ''I am confident that by tomorrow evening, I will be invited to form the government.'' When contacted by reporters in Mangalore, for his comments on Mr Gowda's 12-point charter, BJP State President D V Sadananda Gowda said his party was ready to consider the conditions put forth by Mr Gowda. However, he said no such list of conditions was received by the state or central leadership.

''We have not received any such list. However, as coalition partners they are our friends and the two parties will be forming the government once again in the state. If at all there are any new conditions put forth by the JD(S), we may consider it,'' Mr Sadananda Gowda said.

Earlier, releasing the copy of MoU, addressed to BJP President Rajnath Singh, to the press here, Mr Deve Gowda said the MoU would act as a vital foundation for the 'smooth and cordial' functioning of the 'BJP-led' Karnataka Democratic Front Government.
