London, Nov 1 (UNI) The feud between former England coach Duncan Fletcher and Andrew Flintoff flared up once again after the latter's father hit out at the Zimbabwean on his son's behalf for his comments about the all-rounder's drinking habits in his recently published autobiography.

Colin Flintoff said that his son Andrew felt unhappy and betrayed by Fletcher's comments in his autobiography ''Behind the Shades''.

''The golden rule is that what goes on in the dressing room stays in the dressing room. Fletcher has betrayed Andrew's confidence and broken that rule.'' Mr Colin Flintoff said.

''There is no bigger team player than Andrew. These comments have really upset him. I have spoken to Andrew about this and he is not a happy man,'' he added.

Fletcher reportedly claims in his autobiography that a practice session of the side on the last tour of Australia had to be cancelled as the former captain was busy in drinking.

He also revealed that the burly all-rounder attended a fielding session while drunk which evoked serious doubts on the former coach's mind before naming him as the captain for the Ashes.

Meanwhile, Geoffrey Boycott has also lashed out at Fletcher, calling him a hypocrite.

''After the stuff he has come out with in the last couple of days, I find it ironic that he played eight years with England spouting on about loyalty and keeping everything within the team, There he was, taking the moral high ground at every opportunity. And as soon as he finishes, what does he do? He gets stuck into Flintoff,'' said Boycott, who was also targetted in the autobiography.

''I have no problem with cricket people writing books, telling the truth, and making some money. I have done it myself. Fine.

But it seems a bit rich coming from someone who has made such a big deal about not ''talking out of school''. Fletcher is a hypocrite and should be ashamed of himself,'' Boycott remarked.
