Patna, Nov 01 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Sanjay Paswan today demanded termination of JD(U) MLA Anant Singh's membership following assault on scribes.
Mr Paswan told UNI here that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should immediately ensure expulsion of Mr Singh from his party, which would pave the way for termination his membership from Bihar Assembly.
If Mr Singh was expelled from the JD(U), the Congress would demand from the Assembly Speaker to terminate his membership of the House as well, Mr Paswan added.
Condemning the assault on scribes by the JD(U) MLA, Mr Paswan described it as an attack on democracy and Indian Constitution.
He demanded conviction of Mr Singh through speedy trial.
