BJP silent on JD (S) desire to contest LS polls alone
New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) The BJP today declined comment on the JD (S) stand that it would like to contest the Lok Sabha elections independently.
BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar told UNI that fighting Lok Sabha elections is a matter concerning the future and the immediate concern is revival of Karnataka Assembly since the BJP-JD (S) parties have conclusively proven majority of 129 MLAs in the 224-member House.
He urged the Centre to revoke the suspended animation imposed on Karnataka Assembly since 129 MLAs belonging to BJP and J D (S) had given affidavits supporting Mr B S Yedyurappa for the Chief Ministership. The Union Cabinet should consider Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur's recommendation and allow the installation of the BJP-led coalition in the state, he said.
