Bangalore, Oct 31 (UNI) In a patch up bid, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy today met party rebel leader M P Prakash.
Mr Prakash had raised a banner of revolt against the party's stand to revive the coalition Government with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), even as he was making efforts to form an alternative Government with the help of the Congress as desired by some party Legislators.
Mr Kumaraswamy spent some time with Mr Prakash and requested him to remain in the party and guide youngsters like him. Mr Prakash, however, did not commit anything, party sources said.
JD(S) president H D Deve Gowda too was likely to meet Mr Prakash later in the day and persuade him to remain in the party, soon after returning here from a tour to Ahobila mutt in Andhra Pradesh.
