Isolated rainfall in Karnataka

Bangalore, Oct 31 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bangalore Airport 3, Kalghatgi, Nelamanagala 2 each, Chittapur, Sedam, Hanumasagar, Malur, Hoskote, Devanahalli, Doddaballapura, Harihara 1 each.

Maximum temperatures appreciably rose at most places over North Interior Karnataka, rose at most places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the State.

Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They remained normal over the State. Karwar, Shirali, Mangalore AP, Panambur recorded highest maximum temperature of 32.0 Celsius and Davanagere recorded lowest minimum temperature of 17.6 Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday mornaing: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of the State.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 27 Celsius and 20 Celsius respectively.
