New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Priced between Rs 3.39 lakh and Rs 3.98 lakh, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today launched its new compact car 'i10', which is the first car from an international manufactrer to make its world's debut here, with India slated to be the sole production and export hub for the car.
''HMIL is poised to play a very important role not only in India but also in Hyundai Motor Corporation's (HMC) global plan and we hope that with India becoming the hub for small cars we would see a significant increase in the company's presence in many more countries,'' HMC Presidnet Jae Kook Choi told reporters here.
Fully conceptualised and munufactured in India, the new i10 is powered by 1.1 litre iRDE petrol engine which delivers a 66 PS @ 5500 rpm and is mated to five speed manual transmission.
The top end version of the car- Magna boast of features like sunroof, ABS and dual airbags.
The car comes in ten different colours, has a dual tone beige interior colour and comes with a two year unlimited warranty package.
