Pune, Oct 31 (UNI) The Northeast Monsoon has been vigorous in coastal Tamil Nadu and active in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Lakshadweep and at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana, Rayalseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in coastal Tamil Nadu and at many places in Orissa.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places in Lakshadweep, at a few places in Telangana, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Karnataka.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Tripura, coastal Gujarat, north Konkan and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, and were above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Rajasthan, interior Gujarat, south Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Haryana, and Punjab. They were appreciably above normal in Tripura and were above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.
