Bangalore, Oct 31 (UNI) Former Karnataka Minister H N Nanje Gowda today urged Governor Rameshwar Thakur to invite Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form coalition government with the help of JD (S) in the state.

In a letter to the Governor, a copy of which was released to the press here, he said the Governor had no alternative but to invite Mr B S Yediyurappa, who had been elected as Leader of the Joint Legislature Party, to form the government.

Mr Gowda said ''it is to be noted that you have already initiated the process of government formation by resorting to requiring the coalition parties to submit individual affidavits intended to authenticate their support to the leader.

''As a follow up measure of abundant caution and evidence you have allowed them to physically appear before you in a parade.

''So, in effect, you have unequivocally endorsed the position that the coalition has an unchallenged and Constitutional authority to form the government,'' he claimed.
