Bhopal, Oct 31 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today conveyed his greetings to people on the eve of the foundation day of the state.
In his message, Mr Chouhan said Madhya Pradesh was observing 51st anniversary of its formation. The 52nd Foundation Day of the state has ushered in new hopes of development, progress and prosperity, an official release said here today.
''Co-incidentally, the state is observing its foundation day amidst celebration of Deepawali,'' he said.
Mr Chouhan said the foundation day was an occasion for residents to be proud of the state's achievements, besides, rededicating themselves to make Madhya Pradesh a progressive and pioneer state in the country.
Acknowledging people's cooperation in getting the state rid of 'Bimaru' tag, he said he firmly believed that Madhya Pradesh would soon occupy an important place among developed states in the wake of new industrial investments and development works taking place, the release added.
