Panaji, Oct 31 (UNI) Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading, a Rs 450 crore ISO-9002 certified company with the largest coffee cafe outlets in India, plans to open at least 50 world class branded outlets in Europe by the end of next year.
Disclosing this to media persons here today on the sidelines of opening the 10th ''Cafe Coffee Day'' (CCD) retail coffee outlet in Goa at Bambolim on the Panaji-Margao highway, CCD General Manager (Marketing) Simran Sablok said that the Company as of now has two outlets in Vienna (Austria) and two in Karachi (Pakistan).
''We want to focus our attention on European countries around Austria for opening our own branded coffee bars, with raw material supplies from India, providing Europeans with an opportunity to relish a variety of Indian coffee blends and beverages along with exotic snacks in different flavours with hospitality,'' she said.
At the same time, the Company also has programmes of increasing its CCD outlets to 500 as against the existing 475 spanning across 95 cities by the end of this year.
The Company started with its first coffee bar in Bangalore, even as it cultivates coffee in 6,000 hectares in its own estates in south India and another 2,500 acres in its managed estates to meet the growing needs of raw material.
The Company has its presence in 87 cities in the country as of now. It also plans to open five more outlets in Goa in a few months to consolidate its leadership position in this tourist state, she informed.
''Youth are more lured to coffee tasting along with snacks these days and we cater to their needs in a classic atmosphere with the menu ranging from signature hot and cold coffees to several exotic international coffees, food, deserts and pastries,'' Ms Sablok said.
The chain of CCD outlets also offer other attractive merchandise like caps, T-shirts, mugs, badges.
