Bhopal Express, many other trains stoned

Bhopal, Oct 31 (UNI) ISO-certified 2155 'Bhopal Express' and five other trains today became target of stoning by about 1,500 agitators between Palwal and Rundhi stations in Haryana.

''Besides the Habibganj-H Nizamuddin Bhopal Express, five other trains including the Mathura-New Delhi MN1 and the 2951 Rajdhani Express were targetted,'' railway sources said.

As a result of the disturbance between 0638 hours and 1000 hours, the trains suffered damages and were delayed. Possibility of injury to passengers could not be ruled out, they said.

The agitators included daily passengers, who travelled on a regular basis from stations near to New Delhi. They were demonstrating to press for their demands.

The Bhopal Express was scheduled to reach New Delhi at 0805 hours but it was at the spot till 1100 hours.
