Aditya Jagtap goes down fighting in finals of Belgian Junior Squash

Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) National champion Aditya Jagtap went down fighting in the final of Belgian Junior Squash at Herentals.

According to information received here today, in the finals of Boys U-17, top seed Rudi Rohmueller (Germany) won first two games 9-3, 9-2 and was on match ball 8-6 in 3rd game, Aditya, however, fought back and won next 2 games 10-8, 10-9 after saving 7 match balls.

In the decider, Aditya was leading 6-3 but could not hold on to it and after 80 mins. of hard battle he lost 9-6.

Due to this performance Aditya will be ranked no 3 as per European Federation Ranking.

Earlier, in the semis Aditya beat Kasper Grauballe (Denmark) 9-7,10-9, 9-1 and in quarters he beat Lukas Serme of France 9-0, 4-9,3-9, 9-0, 9-4.
