Titan Ind Q2 net profit at Rs 46.30 cr, up by 43.9 per cent

Mumbai, Oct 30: Titan Industries has reported strong growth of 43.9 per cent (pc) in its standalone net profit to Rs 46.30 crore for the quarter ended September 2007 as against Rs 32.18 crore in the same quarter last year.

Net sales surged by 34.7 pc to Rs 725.11 crore from Rs 538.51 crore and operating profit margins improved to 12.9 pc versus 12.5 pc. Operating profit went up by 39.2 pc to Rs 93.4 crore from Rs 67.1 crore.

Under the review of second quarter ended September 2007, Watches sale was up by 22.2 pc at Rs 274.8 crore from Rs 224.9 crore and Watches Margins at 15.9 pc versus 13.4 pc, Jewellery sale was also up by 45.6 pc at Rs 432.4 crore from Rs 296.9 crore, Jewellery Margins at 7.8 pc versus 7.4 pc, the company release said.
