Synplicity India expands research operation in city

Bangalore, Oct 30,(UNI) Drawing an expansion plan, Synplicity, Inc., a leading supplier of innovative IC design and verification solutions, had opened its new development facility here today.

It is a part of the company's ongoing expansion in India and is located at the International Technology Park, Whitefield, an official release said.

Synplicity's India team consists of one third of the organisation's worldwide research and development and this would grow up to 50 per cent within the next four to five years. Its headcount would increase by 20-30 per cent.

Commenting on the inauguration of its new office here, Gary Meyers, President and Chief Executive Officer, Director, Synplicity Inc said in a press release that India's role in the company's global strategy has become crucial. The India Centre had contributed significantly to our products and we planned to increase our presence here, he added.
