Rainfall many places in Karnataka

Bangalore, Oct 30 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Virajpet, Kushalnagar 2 each; Karkala, Bhagamandala, Sargur 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at many places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and fell at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka; appreciably below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka.

Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka; however they rose at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the State. Shirali recorded highest maximum temperature of 32.9 degree celsius and Chamarajnagara recorded lowest minimum temperature of 17.4 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
