Postal employees participate in one-day strike in AP
Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) In response to the call given by the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers and All India State Government Employees Federation, the Postal employees throughout the state today, participated in the one-day strike.
They wanted the Government to immediately set up judicial committee to look into pay revision issues of three lakh Grameen Dak Sevaks.
The Joint Council of Action (Postal) also urged the government to release interim relief and concede the demand for scrapping the new pension scheme.
All 98 head Post Offices, 33,000 branch Post Offices, 1,054 Sub Post Offices, six railway mail service divisions and four administrative offices remained closed in the state, a press release here said.
