Jamshedpur, Oct 30 (UNI) Hundreds of Muslims, led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Nasar Firdausi, today gheraoed the Deputy Commissioner's office demanding dismissal of the Narendra Modi government in Gujarat and ban on the RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal.
Dr Firdausi, JMM's central committee secretary, also submitted a memorandum to President Prathibha Patil through DC Nitin Madan Kulkarni.
In the memorandum Dr Firdausi said that since Mr Modi's 'conspiracy' for Gujarat riot was 'exposed', the Centre should sack the state government immediately and register case against those who indulged in riots and committed heinous crime.
He said, ''their(Mr Modi and the Sangha Parivar) crimes are now fully exposed by Tehelka, which should duly be examined for the purpose of safeguarding the democratic and secular set up of India.'' Stressing the need for equal share in the police and military, Dr Firdausi also urged to form a "Pathan regiment" in the Indian army.
JMM general secretary Sheikh Badruddin and president of the party's Minority cell Khaliq Ansari were also present during the demonstration.
